SARAKICHI | Edo Beauty, Made for Modern Life
SARAKICHI is a Tokyo-based brand born from Tomita Somé-Kogei, a traditional dyeing atelier with roots going back to 1882. For generations, the atelier has practiced Edo Komon and Edo Sarasa — two of Japan's most refined stencil-dyeing traditions, developed in the Edo period and passed down through master craftspeople ever since.
The patterns you see on a SARAKICHI piece were once made for kimono. Today they live on scarves, pouches, and accessories — the same craft, the same precision, a different kind of everyday life.
SARAKICHI is not about putting tradition on a pedestal. It is about wearing it.
