Frustum Tea Cup
Frustum Tea Cup
Frustum 湯呑
Frustum is a collection of teaware redesigned to suit modern lifestyles, aiming to rediscover the joys of tea. The conical shape of the teacup makes it easy to hold. The shape, which tapers slightly towards the rim, brings the drinking rim closer to the nose than traditional teacups, allowing for a more enjoyable aroma.

Story
Toki City, Gifu: Home of Mino Ware
Mino ware refers to the ceramics produced in the Tono region of Gifu Prefecture, including the cities of Toki, Tajimi, and Mizunami. This area is Japan’s largest center for ceramic production, and among them, Toki City is known as the country’s leading producer of ceramics.
From everyday tableware that brings color to daily dining to artistic pieces inspired by traditional Oribe ware, countless ceramic works continue to be created here today.
Shimoiwa: A town known for Tokkuri
Shinzan Kiln Yamatsu is located in Shimoiwa, a district within Toki City famous for producing tokkuri sake flasks. The town is so closely associated with them that it even has a local character named “Tokkuri Tokkun.”
The area’s gentle rolling hills once made it ideal for building traditional climbing kilns, and even today, the entire town is deeply connected to the ceramic industry. Wherever you go, you can feel the presence of pottery and craftsmanship woven into everyday life.
