This 2-cup drip set features the Meimon Funnel, a design that combines the convenience of a paper filter with the extraction quality of a traditional three-panel flannel filter. In 2010, to mark our 85th anniversary, we refined the funnel's design to further improve extraction efficiency, continuing a tradition of listening closely to our customers and dedicating ourselves to equipment that enhances the natural aroma and flavor of coffee.

Color Options

Available in eight colors. The selected color applies to the handle, lid, funnel, and measuring spoon. Please note that colored versions require an additional 1 to 2 weeks for shipping; only the black model ships within our standard processing time.

Story

Japan's first coffee siphon was created through reverse engineering to achieve high heat resistance. It was invented and put into practical use in 1918 by our founder, Akira Kono.

The driving force behind this was a strong passion to elevate the then-emerging ”coffee shops" to the same artistic level as the traditional tea ceremony (Sado). Guided by the motto ‘to faithfully extract the true flavor of coffee,’ we have pursued the ideal coffee brewing method and continued to refine the design of the syphon.

Through this quest, we have succeeded in establishing the syphon as an iconic coffee appliance that represents Japan. In an era where the West is moving toward automated machines, Japan has mastered the art of syphon brewing.
