Mino ware, produced in this region, represents the largest volume of ceramic production in Japan. Behind it is a network of kilns, artisans, and supporting industries, all working together through a long-standing tradition of craftsmanship. Among them, 晋山窯ヤマツ(Shinzan Kiln Yamatsu), with over 150 years of history, continues to create pieces that quietly support everyday life.

The Tono region, where the kiln is based, is known for its intense summer heat. Even so, the fires in the kiln never go out. Continuing to fire ceramics is both a craft and a commitment - a reflection of a culture that values care for people’s daily lives. Each piece carries that warmth, with the hope of bringing a small sense of comfort to those who use it.
